When it comes to night time I always make sure I cleanse my skin thoroughly, removing any impurities I may have on my skin! I want all that makeup and dirt that has been building up throughout the day GONE. But even though I want to be thorough when cleansing my skin I also want to be delicate, so that I don’t stress my skin any further.
These are the steps I take every night before going to bed to keep my skin as healthy as I can:
1. Remove excess of makeup
I like to first remove my makeup by using my micellar water by Garnier Skin Active Micellar Water. I love it because is fragrance, oil and alcohol free which works amazing for my sensitive skin. Ultimately this amazing products leaves my skin makeup free without the oily sensation afterwards!
To cleanse my face I use the same cleanser I use in the mornings! My Glossier Milky Jelly cleanser a.k.a THE BEST THING EVER! Milky Jelly will remove the any makeup and dirt residue that I might still have sitting on top of my skin without drying it out.
I like to exfoliate my skin 1-2 times a week with Krave Beauty's Kale-Lalu-yAHA (my absolute favorite!!) I make sure to not over do it so that I don’t irritate my skin further. When I use chemical exfoliators I keep my routine simple and don’t add any spot treatment.
I tone using Lush's Tea Tree Water! It works amazingly on my skin and I can use it even after exfoliating as it soothes my sensitive skin as well as it brightens it.
At night I like to use a somewhat heavier moisturizer than what I use in the morning. I stick to my CeraVe Skin Renewing Night Cream. Every time I use this moisturizer my skin wakes up feeling super soft and plump! If I want to make it even more hydrating I mix a few drops of my Drunk Elephant C-Firma serum with it.
6. Spot treatment
When I’m having stubborn breakouts I like to use my I Dew Care Goodbye Blemish Spot Clearing Patch. I absolutely love this spot treatment because it is similar to glue! I simple put it over my blemish, let it dry and then go to sleep. This magic glue protects my blemishes from my prying nails and ultimately prevents me from picking/popping them. P.S. The next day I wake up with a less angry blemish :)
